Arcata High School Visits the Humboldt County Courthouse as Part of Their Leadership & Government Class

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Arcata High School students took a trip down to the Humboldt County Courthouse where they had a chance to see how their local government works.

Students got an opportunity to watch and see how the Board of Supervisors meeting goes. Arcata High School showcased events and clubs such as their school newspaper. Afterwards, students met with the District Attorney. One student says, it’s important to see how their local government interacts with the public.

The field trip is part of the Leadership in government class.
