Structure fire in Rio Dell causes roughly $10,000 in damages

RIO DELL, CA. (KIEM) – Around 9:30 Monday evening fire crews responded to a structure fire in Rio Dell.

Officials say the fire, in this house, located on 1100 block of Miller Court, was a result of a faulty bathroom ventilation fan. Rio Dell Volunteer Fire Department worked quickly to extinguish the small blaze. Fortunately, the three occupants inside were able to make it out. Officials told Redwood News the damages are roughly 10,000, and the working smoke detectors gave the family an early warning of the smoke
