Ferndale Fire Department Invites Public to Visit Fire Station

FERNDALE, Ca. (KIEM) – Residents in Ferndale were able to take a look into how their local firefighters save lives!

The Ferndale Fire department hosted an open house to the community. Locals had a chance to check out the fire trucks, medical equipment, and even had several demonstrations! It’s to help make the public more aware of fire safety. Those who stopped by the fire department even got a free lunch!

Ferndale Fire Captain Byran McWaters says, it’s all to show the community the Measure Z funding at work.

This is the first open house event for Ferndale Fire. They hope to continue this next year.
