Fortuna police arrest two in possession of stolen items from Caltrans yard

FORTUNA (KIEM)- Fortuna police make two arrest in connection with a burglary of a state maintenance yard.

The department served a search warrant at a residence Wednesday on the 1900 block of Brandi Lane. Detectives said they recovered several thousand dollars worth of stolen property along with a motorcycle that was taken from a recent burglary at the Caltrans yard in Rio Dell.

Police said said they also found a small amount of meth, scales and packaging material.

36 year-old Dustin Pool of Fortuna and 23 year-old Dolores Gallegos of Eureka were both arrested.

They were charged on suspicion of a controlled substance for sale, maintaining a drug house and felony possession of stolen property. Gallegos was also charged for possession of meth, and parole violation.
