Man arrested after drugs, large amount of money found at Humboldt Hill home

HUMBOLDT HILL (KIEM)- A large amount of money and drugs were found following a search warrant at a Humboldt Hill home.

The Humboldt County Drug Task Force served a search warrant at around 8:30 Wednesday night at a residence on the 7200 block of David Avenue.

Agents found 54 year-old Daniel Albert Anaya from Sinola, Mexico inside a vehicle parked in the driveway at the residence. The task force said a search of the vehicle revealed a false compartment within the dashboard. Agents said they recovered over three pounds of heroin packaged for sales, four ounces of cocaine and one ounce of methamphetamine.

Agents then searched the residence and located $95,000 in U.S. currency that is believed to be profits from the drug sales.

Anaya was arrested and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility where he was booked on suspicion of possession and transportation of controlled substances and an illegal false compartment. Bail is set at $100,000.
