New nature play area behind Bayshore Mall

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – A new place for play, has recently been constructed along Eureka’s Waterfront.

According to the City of Eureka’s Community Service Department. This nature play area was funded from a portion of a $300,000 land and water conservation fund grant. Its located just north of Truesdale Street behind the Bayshore Mall. It was made possible by the California State Parks Office of Grants and Loans, Pacific Affiliates and Mobley construction.

Those interested in the improvement of Eureka’s existing parks. Eureka’s 20/30 park, may be the next park, to see some TLC. You can participate in the process by visiting the park this Saturday between 9am and noon.
