American Indian Career Fair Draws in Over a Hundred Students

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – Over a 100 students from Eureka, McKinleyville, Fortuna, and Loleta attended a career fair in Redwood Acres.

The career fair helps Native American youth find future job opportunities. It also encourages them to pursue a higher education.

About thirty different agencies showed kids the possibilities.

It’s part of the Yurok Tribe’s Wild Rivers Indian Career Pathways Program, which serves over 800 Native American students.

The program received $3.6 million dollars in funding from the Department of Education.
