Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Decides How to Allocate Measure Z Funding

EUREKA (KIEM) – The Humboldt County board of supervisors met to discuss how Measure Z funding would be distributed among local agencies here on the North Coast.

The Fire Chief’s Association will receive over one million dollars for facility upgrades and equipment. The Public Works Office’s application for illegal dumping will be reduced by $10,000. The Sheriff’s Office will be funding the CERT program through their operations budget.

General funding will be used to identify other revenue sources for the remaining $209,000 available.

All other applications is being funded at their presented levels.
