Humboldt Wind Energy Project available for review

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – A proposed wind energy project is now available for public review. On Monday, the Humboldt County Administration Office released the Draft Environmental Impact Repor of the over 2,000-acre site.

The location of the site would be roughly 12 miles southeast of Fortuna. The proposed project would consist of a maximum of 60 wind turbine generators, which officials of the proposed project, say has the potential to power 60,000 homes simultaneously. Included in the report, a list of the associated infrastructure and potential environmental impacts.

The public comment periods will continue until June 5th.
