St. Joseph Hospital Donates to Astraia Pulliam Memorial Scholarship

EUREKA (KIEM) – St. Joseph Hospital is honoring a former nurse by donating thousands of dollars for a scholarship in her name

Back in August, 39-year-old Astraia Pulliam was tragically murdered by her husband.

But to keep her legacy and memory alive, the hospital is donating $5000 to the Astraia Pulliam Memorial Scholarship. The donation is made through the hospital’s Community Benefit Program. The scholarship will help single mothers enrolled at the nursing program at College of the Redwoods.

So far, a total of $6000 have been raised.

Anyone who wants to donate to the scholarship can contact the Humboldt Area Foundation.
