CHP Advises Drivers Not to Drive Under the Influence during 4/20 Activities

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – The California Highway Patrol is advising motorists to drive carefully and safely during 4/20.

CHP says, it’s illegal to be under the influence while driving. Compared to drunk driving, it takes a while to feel the effects of marijuana.

If you’re busted for a DUI, there are severe penalties.  Drivers can pay up to $1000 in fines and even face jail time.

CHP says, if you are under the influence of marijuana stay off the wheel.
