Cutten Elementary School holds annual State Float Parade

CUTTEN (KIEM)- The Rhododendron Parade is just one week away but on Friday, one local elementary school had its own parade.

Cutten School held its State Float Parade. Fifth grade teacher Tracy Benbow came up with the idea and the school has been doing this now for about nine years. Fifth grade students got to walk the school hallways with their floats for everyone to see.

Before the parade, each student adopts a state for their US history project and over seven weeks, they do research and constructs their float.
