Female Bicyclist Sustains Minor Injuries After Struck by a Van

FERNBRIDGE, Ca., (KIEM) – Southbound traffic on Highway 101 near Fernbridge was slow going after a crash Tuesday afternoon involving a bicyclist and vehicle.

It happened at around 4:40 p.m. California Highway Patrol said a woman on a bike was crossing the highway from the shoulder when she was struck by a Toyota Sienna Van.

 The female victim sustained minor injuries. Traffic was backed up several miles because of the crash. The cause remains under investigation.
