Humboldt State search committee to hold open forums for Athletic Director candidates

ARCATA, CA (KIEM)- After nearly two years with an interim athletic director, Humboldt State University is moving forward with a permanent replacement. Duncan Robins was named the interim AD in June of 2017 and during that time, the school eliminated the football program because of financial reasons.

The search committee will have open forums with the four athletic director candidates on selected days and the public is welcome to attend at Lumberjack Arena from 5:30 to 6:30pm.

They include Cliff Dochterman on April 30, Ronald Prettyman on May 1, Melissa Ringhausen on May 3 and Bill Macriss on May 7.

The HSU athletic director is responsible for the leadership and management of 11 intercollegiate athletics programs. One coach told Redwood News the school president and AD hires are important for the future of HSU and athletics.
