EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – Could supporting local families improve a local economy? Eureka Mayor Susan Seaman aims to answer that question.
Mayor Seaman claims there is plenty of well-documented research that shows that investing in young children promotes a stronger economy and can have a profound impact on social issues. That’s why a week from now, the Mayor will be announcing a new initiative to locate the opportunities and needs pertaining to child care, parental and family services, and access to health care and healthy habits.
For those interested in learning more or wish to offer suggestions, the public meeting will take place on May 1st at the Wharfinger Building from 6 to 8 pm.
