All Aboard, Humboldt Bay and Eureka Model Railroad Club Brings Train Show

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – All aboard, The Humboldt Bay and Eureka Model Railroad Club have their model trains in town.

Its all part of the Rhody Festival and this is their 35th annual open house. Kids of all ages came to the club in Eureka to see how the model trains run on the tracks. There were different courses laid out throughout the show. Attendees were also allowed to test out how the tracks work by controlling it themselves. For some, playing with trains brings a nostalgic feeling.

“We all love trains. That’s the main thing. As far as having our own layouts at home, most of us either don’t have the room or we don’t have the time. This is a good way to come and enjoy your model trains without having to build your own,” said Greg Hodges, Humboldt Bay and Eureka Model Railroad Club member.
