HCSO mourn the loss of Correctional Deputy Cody Hale

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – After 14 years of service, correctional deputy Cody Hale has passed away due to cancer. Deputy Hale began his fight against cancer in 2017. Those who knew him say each time he began feeling better he would come back to work in whatever capacity he could. They also say he was a passionate and caring person who truly believed in the family aspect of the job. He loved to debate as much as he enjoyed learning about the other side’s opinion. His quick wit quirks and sense of humor will greatly be missed

Sheriff’s office staff will be wearing mourning bands on their department issued badge in memory of Cody and his service to our county.
