Redwood Capital Bank evacuates customers and employees

EUREKA, CA. (KIEM) – The Redwood Capital Bank Branch in Henderson Center was evacuated Tuesday afternoon. For at least an hour, customers and staff were ushered outside due to a reported gas leak coming from inside the building.

Shortly after 3 Tuesday afternoon just before our cameras arrived bank employees and customers had been evacuated from the building. Humboldt Bay Fire and PG&E spent some time on scene looking for the source of the leak. However, both agencies could not find the source of the odor, and later determined it was not a gas leak. After roughly an hour everyone was allowed to re-enter the building and the bank re-open a short time later.
