Willow Creek welcomes new deputy district ranger

WILLOW CREEK, CA. (KIEM) – A Humboldt County native has recently been selected as deputy district ranger for the lower Trinity Orleans area are and Ukonom ranger districts.

Roberto Beltran will now serve the willow creek office. Beltran graduated from Humboldt State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry.  He began as a forester in the Six Rivers National Forest in May of 2005. For the past 7 years, Beltran has served as a resource adviser on large fires. He will now be in charge of reforestation, commercial thinning, and recreation enhancement projects.
