Former HSU Professor to be Honored in Washington D.C. for Work on the Arcata Interpretive Marsh

ARCATA (KIEM) – A former HSU professor is heading to the nation’s capital to be awarded for his work with the Arcata Marsh.

The Environmental Law Institute is recognizing Robert Gearheart. He is known for his work with the Arcata Marsh.

Gearheart says, he’s not just accepting the award for him but also for the team of people and students who continue to work on the project.  He also says there’s still more work to be done.

Gearheart will be awarded next week in Washington D.C.
