Arcata Police Sergeant to Head East for Unity Tour

ARCATA, CA (KIEM) – An Arcata Police Sergeant is heading to the East Coast for the annual Unity Tour.

Sergeant Chris Wilson is going to South Jersey next week to bike from the Garden State down to DC. It’s all a part of National Police Week.

After biking around 250 miles to the Nation’s Capital, he will visit The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Wall. Its where the names of over 21,000 peace officers have died in the line of duty since 1971. The unity tour is something Wilson has done since 2013.

APD will show Sergeant Wilson’s journey in the 2019 Unity Tour on their social media platforms.
