EDA Awards Blue Lake Rancheria Millions of Dollars for Toma Resilience Campus

BLUE LAKE (KIEM) – The EDA is awarding the Blue Lake Rancheria millions of dollars. All that money will go towards a business incubator facility, which will help grow business ventures.

The tribe will receive $7.9 million dollars to build the new campus. Back in 2017, mudslides shutdown 299 and parts of Highway 101.

The tribe wants to be prepared for any natural disaster, while also allowing new businesses to expand. The campus is expected to be 20,000 square feet and would create to bring in up to 500 jobs.

The project is expected to break ground later this year.
