Equity Arcata Hosts Immersive Retreat for Humboldt County and to Open the Dialogue on Race and Race Equity

ARCATA (KIEM) – It’s an immersive learning session where community members from Humboldt County came to facilitate the conversation of race.

Arcata Equity hosted an 8-hour session.

Community members had open dialogue of race and racial equity. The session also explored the idea of implicit bias and how to combat racism at all kinds of levels.

One of the facilitators, Ron white says, it’s important to open the conversation of race… Even it’s hard to talk about.
