Animal Shelter at risk of financial depletion

McKINLEYVILLE, CA. (KIEM) – the Humboldt County Animal Shelter in McKinleyville is currently going through a financial deficit, and they’re asking the public for assistance.

According to Friends for Life Animal Rescue, the shelter’s emergency medical fund is critically low and is projected to be depleted by Mid-Summer. They claim the cost for medical care provided during the first half of this year, put them in this situation. The EMF is funded through donations and helps the shelter cover the rescued animals medical cost.
