Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) With the rise of identity theft nationwide, local agencies gear up to assist in combating scammers from taking everything one owns.

Our Jatrissa Wooten tells us what is being done to help protect the vulnerable as recent incidents show, senior citizens are more prone to fall victim.

The ID Theft, Scams, and Fraud Seminar will be held Thursday, May 8 at the Humboldt County Library starting at 6 PM.
