Car destroyed by fire

FICKLE HILL (KIEM- A car is destroyed by fire east of Arcata. The Arcata Fire District responded just after noon Thursday five miles up Fickle Hill Road for a Ford Focus that caught fire. 

When crews arrived on scene, flames were visible from the engine of the vehicle. The fire started to spread to vegetation before it was extinguished.

Cal Fire also responded to the scene.
