Traffic stop results in two drug arrests

EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)- Two Garberville residents are arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop in Eureka.

At around 5:30 Wednesday evening, special agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force along with Eureka police pulled over a vehicle in the 2200 block of Buhne Street.

The drug task force had previously obtained a search warrant for the truck that was driven by 34 year-old Ladelle Tomson. The task force said Tomson is heavily involved in heroin distribution in southern Humboldt.

During a search of the vehicle, agents located over an ounce of suspected heroin, digital scales and packaging material.

Tomson and her passenger, 31 year-old Scott Bilquist, were both arrested on suspicion of transportation and possession of controlled substances for sales.
