BRIDGEVILLE, Ca (KIEM)- Full closures of State Route 36 in eastern Humboldt County will start at the beginning of next week. The realignment project that was started last year resumes Monday and continues through October 1, east of Bridgeville.
The highway will be closed from, 8 am until noon. Traffic will be allowed to go through the construction zone for one hour before it’s closed again from 1 pm until 5 pm Monday through Thursday. On Friday, construction ends at 3 pm.
Mercer Fraser of Eureka is the construction company for the project. The improvements include realigning the highway and straightening out the sharp curves on the roadway.
