EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)- Humboldt County supervisor Rex Bohn again has a challenger. College of the Redwoods student Elias Garcia announced his plans to run for the first district seat.
The 18-year-old Eureka High graduate said he has always enjoyed politics and his cousin’s husband is Allen McCloskey, who recently dropped out of the race for supervisor.
Garcia’s top priority is the needle crisis. He said throughout our cities in Humboldt County, we see a number of needles being dumped in our streets, lawns, alleys and parks. He wants to make the area a better place and also focus on the youth.
