Man caught stealing car parts from tow yard

ARCATA, CA. (KIEM) – One suspect is in police custody after reportedly stealing items from several vehicles.

According to the Arcata Police Department at around eight Friday morning,   32-year-old Richard Lewis Boone was reportedly stealing parts off vehicles parked inside the JNM towing facility located on the 100 Block of G Street. Staff who were monitoring video surveillance quickly alerted police of what they saw and during the investigation, officers located Boone hiding underneath a vehicle. All of the stolen property was recovered.

Boone was arrested on multiple misdemeanor charges and possession of drug paraphernalia.
