Fortuna High School Students React to Snapchat Threat

FORTUNA, CA (KIEM) – Fortuna High school was placed on lockdown Monday morning because of a potential Snapchat threat.

Parents called the Fortuna Police Department, after they saw that someone reposted a Snapchat post with the caption “Getting Ready for School” and an assault rifle in the background. Then, the FPD got an anonymous phone call indicating that an individual was heading to Fortuna High School armed.

The Fortuna Police Department reported the incident to Snapchat so they can find the origin of the message.
