Nickols selected as District 1 Dairy Princess

FORTUNA, Ca (KIEM)- A Ferndale High School student is selected as the 2019 Dairy Princess for the California Milk Advisory Board’s District 1.

Halee Nickols of Loleta, was crowned princess at the Fortuna River Lodge and will represent both Humboldt and Del Norte county.

Nickols is a fifth-generation dairy farmer on her family farm where she works and raises her own dairy cattle. She is the vice president of the Ferndale FFA and a member of the 4H club for the last ten years.

Nickols plans on attending a four-year college majoring in dairy science and minor in agriculture business.
