Driver arrested after fatal hit-and-run crash in McKinleyville

MCKINLEYVILLE, Ca (KIEM)-One man is dead after a hit-and-run crash in McKinleyville. It happened at around 7:30 Saturday morning on Central Avenue near Bella Vista Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a female driving a black Toyota RAV4 struck the pedestrian and then drove off. The suspect was later arrested after her vehicle was located by law enforcement.

The CHP would like to thank witnesses at the scene who gave information that led to the arrest of the suspect.
