Klamath teenager dies in crash, three others injured

CRESCENT CITY, Ca (KIEM)- The driver who was killed in a solo car crash south of Crescent City and injured three others is identified.

According to the CHP, just before 3 last Friday, 17 year-old Waukela Dowd of Klamath lost control of her  Mazda sedan going southbound on Highway 101 causing her to cross into oncoming traffic. Dowd’s car did not hit any other vehicles but it struck a tree before going down an embankment.

Dowd was pronounced dead at the scene. 39 year-old Rocky Dowd and a four year-old boy also sustained major injuries in the crash. The other passenger, 19 year-old Miguel Cruz Vasquez had minor injuries.
