Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Passes another Moratorium on Industrial Hemp

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted to pass another temporary moratorium on industrial hemp.

Last month, The Board of Supervisors voted to establish a temporary moratorium hemp. That moratorium expired last Friday. Since then, there have been forty farmers who’ve applied to produce hemp.

Jasmine Finely, a Southern Humboldt resident says, this temporary restriction would greatly affect local farmers.

So far, there are no state regulations for hemp.
