CHP Urges Drivers To Stay Alert On The Roadways During Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – During the month of May, California is recognizing motorcycle safety awareness month.

Warmer weather means more motorcycles out on the roadways. California Highway Patrol and the Office of Traffic Safety are working together to promote safety for everyone on the road. Last year, California saw almost 17,000 collisions involving motorcycles. CHP urges drivers to share the road with riders this summer.

CHP says when you’re driving, remember to keep an eye out for those motorcyclists.
