HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – The Department of Health and Human Services released their Community Health Assessment of Humboldt County.
The report measures illness, nutrition, and physical activity.
The data is collected over time. The report also reveals income, housing status, and community safety. One of the biggest concerns is Hepatitis C. Humboldt County has one of the highest of rates of Hepatitis C in the state.
DHHS says, this report helps bring awareness to the community.
This is the second community assessment released. DHHS releases a report every five years. The first report was released back in 2013.
