Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Renews Visitor’s Bureau Contract for Two More Years

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors voted to fund the visitors for two more years.

On Tuesday, the board unanimously voted to extend contract. The bureau is contracted with the county, but that is expected to expire at the end of next month. Last year, over $400 million dollars in tourism was brought in. The bureau’s plans to partner with various agencies to create a strategic marketing campaign.

The Visitor’s Bureau now has to come up with a new marketing plan. After six months, they will be presenting that to the board of supervisors.
