Local Farmers Learn Ways of Korean Natural Farming

EUREKA, CA (KIEM) – Humboldt County farmers learn the ways of Korean Natural Farming.

Local and farmers from out of town came to the TeaLAB for the Korean Natural Farming Workshop.

Attendees got to learn how to make Microorganisms. It helps farmers have healthy soil.

And get this, according to the instructors, when you have healthy soil, a pig could be outside of your bedroom window and it wouldn’t smell at all.

“Healthy soil leads to healthy plants, which leads to healthy animals, which leads to healthy humans. So if you go backwards and you want to just eat healthy animals it all starts with the soil,” said Eric Weinert, a Soil Scientist.

“Its a very good method of farming. It can help the farmers in terms of farming knowledge and farming Technolgy. But I’d like to see this method of farming advance once step further so it can become a movement,” said Rei Yoon, a farmer Instructor.
