Canopy Walk Project Moving Forward

EUREKA (KIEM)- Visitors to the Sequoia Park Zoo will soon be seeing it from a different perspective. Coming next Spring, visitors will be suspended up to 100-feet above ground up in the Redwood trees. In partnership with Greenway, the Canopy Walk will cost about 2.2 million dollars.

Rendition of the Canopy Walk at Sequoia Park Zoo.

This project hopes to draw in more tourists with the unique idea and help bring everyone together. It offers an adventure side with higher heights and narrower platforms. There is a less thrill-seeking side for those who aren’t too big of a fan of the height.

Construction is planned to start this summer.
