Riot at Alder Conservation Camp in Klamath

KLAMATH, CA (KIEM)-A reported riot breaks out at the Alder Conservation Camp in Klamath.

Authorities tell Redwood News the incident happened just after 5 Monday evening and involved at least 40 inmates at the camp.

The Del Norte County Sheriff’s office along with the CHP and other agencies responded to the scene. It’s not known if there were any injuries but at least three ambulances were requested.

According to the CDC website, there are 100 inmates and 14 Cal Fire and nine correctional staff members and at Alder Camp.
