Inmate Back in Jail

Klamath (KIEM)-A Humboldt County jail inmate is back behind bars after he walked away from a work crew in Eureka.

An alert citizen told a Eureka Police Officer that Corey Allmon was seen running near “D’ and Clark Street, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Allmon led police on a brief foot pursuit around 10:30 this morning. He was taken into custody in the alley way on the 12-hundred block of “C” Street.

25-year-old Allmon walked away from a maitenance crew yesterday afternoon. They were doing maintenance work on the Hikshari trail near Truesdale Street.

Allamon was transported back to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility. He was booked on violation of mandatory supervision, escape, resisting arrest, and violation of probation.
