Search for Missing Boater Continues…

Del Norte (KIEM)– The search continues for a missing boater at Lake Earl in Del Norte County.

Members from the Search and Rescue team have been searching the area since early yesterday morning.

Natasha Steele and Drew Wiseman were kayaking late Saturday afternoon when the kayak took on water and sank. Wiseman was able to battle the cold waters for several hours, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Steele still remains missing.

The Coast Guard helicopter along with other agencies are assisting in the search.
