North Coast Co-op Pledges To Buy More From Local Farmers

Arcata and Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — The North Coast Co-op announced today they will be buying more $700,000 worth of food from local farmers this year.

The co-op purchases from nearly 200 local vendors in Humboldt County, and about 25 of those are local, organic farmers. This year’s pledge is larger than in the past because not only does it include food that customers can buy, but also produce used in their deli and food bar.

North Coast Co-op has locations in Arcata and Eureka. They hope bringing in even more local food will help increase their sales.
