EUREKA (KIEM) – They say laughter is the best medicine. St. Joseph Hospital held a comedy show all to help raise money for the new residency program.
Last year, the fundraiser raised over $450,000 dollars.
In total, St. Joseph Hospital raised $2.2 million dollars over two years. The hospital received over 650 applications for six of the residency spots. This year, those six doctors will begin their three year residency in Humboldt County.
All the money raised from the event will go towards the education development of primary care physicians in Humboldt.
