Locals Raise Glasses at 30th Annual Art and Wine in the Park

FORTUNA, CA (KIEM) – Locals cheers to the 30th Annual Art and Wine in the Park at the Friendly City.

Attendees got to taste different wines, look at the artwork, and enjoy live music. This year, they had art classes where artists taught art lovers how to replicated their paintings.

The Rotary Club of Fortuna organized the social event. One Arcata resident drove down to Rohner Park to enjoy a day in the sun with her friends.

“Its fun to have a drink, kick back, cut loose, [and] feel good. Get a little tipsy, [and] have a good time. Its good to support your local community, and I think its good to support local artists. And to see people you know. Everywhere I go on these little festivals, you always see people you know. Your neighbors, your friends, having a drink with family basically,” said Chelsey Castiglione, Aracta Resident.

Most of the proceeds from the event will go to the Weekend Food Backpack Program.
