Vehicle Theft Arrest in Garberville

GARBERVILLE,CA (KIEM)-An arrest has been made following a vehicle theft in Garberville on June 7th.

36-year-old, Amber Rose Demarco was arrested Friday afternoon after officer’s responded to the scene of a possible physical altercation. Authorities found upon arrival a male subject physically detaining a male subject. The male subject informed that he had performed a citizen arrest for vehicle theft.

Authorities learned that the male had parked his car, leaving it running and exited momentarily. When walking back, he noticed his vehicle moving forward and ran after it. He was able to grab onto Demarco through an open window. At that time she stopped and he was able to physically remove her from the vehicle and detained her until officers arrived.

Demarco has been charged with vehicle theft and violation of probation.
