A Bittersweet Farewell for Superintendent of Klamath Trinity Joint Unified School District

WILLOW CREEK (KIEM)– Jon Ray has been with Klamath Trinity Joint Unified School District for five years and this will be his last.

Ray has made an abundance of changes to what used to be a rundown, falling apart district, into a place where students enjoy coming to learn. Trinity Valley Elementary School was falling apart, had no A/C, and contained a variety of hazardous materials when Ray arrived. Now the school is completely rebuilt with functioning A/C, all new classrooms, and technology geared towards the individuality of each student.

Ray has invested his life into the district and so has his wife, Brooke, who is a second-grade teacher at Trinity Valley Elementary School. They both say it will be extremely hard to leave, but it is time for them to go.

Ray hopes that the changes he has made will continue to keep bettering the district. He will be heading to Los Angeles to become the Superintendent at Bishop Unified School District.

The district completed a contract back in May with Brian Spears. He will become the next Superintendent for Klamath Trinity Joint Unified School District.
