Eureka police searching for man who reportedly fired gun

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM)-Eureka police are searching for a man who reportedly fired a gun several times in an alley.

It happened just after 4 pm Wednesday near Pine and West Grant Street.

The suspect is described as a white male in black clothing. He was last seen running near Broadway and Wabash

A witness said they saw the suspect throw an unknown item into a yard. According to police, they entered the yard and found a handgun. As of right now, the EPD is unsure if the gun is related to this case.
