Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — It’s that time of the school year. Today, Eureka High School held its graduation for the senior class of 2019.
The ceremony was held in Albee Stadium where families, friends, and staff filled the bleachers to congratulate the graduates on their accomplishments. Many students are excited to be celebrating this milestone in their lives alongside their friends.
“I feel pretty good. I’m nervous and excited, but I’m really happy to be graduating with all of my friends,” said graduating senior, Dorshaela Wesson.
Other students felt the same way. One graduating senior, Skylar Carroll, thinks that the last four years together have made the graduating class a big family.
“It’s kind of crazy and surreal. We’re all doing it together so it feels like a family event almost,” he said.
Congratulations to the Eureka High class of 2019. From here, they will all be taking the next steps in their lives.
